DrupalCamp NYC on May 13 and 14, 2006 has been announced. I'd love to go and it looks like my schedule is clear. I've joined the Drupal NYC Drupal Group and there is more information to be found at upcoming:

10a - 1p introduction sessions

DrupalCamp NYC will be broken down into three Workshops...

introduction to drupal - (saturday only, free)
this is for newbees/novice drupal users who would like to learn about drupal. what is drupal? how to install, configure, and which modules to use. how to utilize the support community. where to find vendors and custom drupal work. adam mordecai, from advomatic, will be spearheading this workshop.

advanced users - (saturday and sunday)
for those who have been using drupal for a bit and are looking to get a better understanding of what's under the hood. this two day workshop, will go into detail on themeing, php, css, civicrm, & best practices. noel hidalgo, from the new york state senate, and gregory heller, from civicactions, will be spearheading this workshop.

developer session - (saturday and sunday)
if your really looking to get your hands dirty, this two day session will impart sage advice and knowhow. aaron welch, from advomatic, will be spearheading this workshop.
